By winning the 2010 Valley All-Sports Trophy, the Redbirds have finished in the top-five of the Valley’s All-Sports race for 29-straight years and have won the award in two of the last four seasons.
In three out of the last four seasons, Illinois State finished in the top-5 in 16 of the 19 sports in which it sponsors – the highest percentage of top-five finishers in league history.
ISU has finished first, second or third in the Valley All-Sports Trophy standings in 19 of the past 21 seasons.
A total of 234 Redbird student-athletes earned AFNI Athletics Honor Roll designation by earning at least a 3.00 GPA during the Spring 2011 semester.
In each of the past four years, ISU student-athletes have contributed more than 2,000 hours of community service to the Bloomington-Normal area, including 3,400 hours during the 2010-11 school year, just shy of the school record (3,500 hours) set during 2009-10.
Since joining the Missouri Valley Conference in 1982, Illinois State has won 142 team league titles – more than any other league school during that period.
